Tracks 8 and 11 are original band compositions.
The album was recorded on 2nd August 2005 on a TEAC 388 1/4" 8-track by Geoff Middleton in a shed at the bottom of our good friend and occasional saxophonist, Rick Woolgar's garden in Wragby. This was the site of the legendary Playground Studios where many bands recorded in the late 70s. The recordings were then dumped onto computer at composer, John Stafford's studio - thanks, John - and mixed on Cubase by Geoff. Thanks to HiQ sound for the loan of mikes and stands and to Andy West for use of the shed.
Most of the recording was live with the exception of the occasional overdubbed vocal, percussion and harmonica part. 11 songs in one day was pretty good going. This including picking up the gear in Lincoln, setting up in the studio and then packing it up and dropping it all off again after the session. Thanks to Bob Reid for the loan of a proper harmonica mike.
The cover painting is by Egly's daughter, Rose Lucas.
The album is currently available from the band at gigs for £10. If you can't wait that long we will mail you one for £11. Send us an email for details. We are negotiating getting it into some record shops soon.
